About The Position

The Dishwasher, also referred to as the Utility Person, is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing food-service equipment and dishes, maintaining clean service areas, and following applicable standards. The role supports dining service before and after meals and includes safe use of cleaning agents, proper storage and disposal practices, and other preparation tasks as needed. The position is full-time at Seafields by Bishop Gadsden. The posting notes that the role does not involve night shifts.

Requirements

• Ability to stoop, bend, reach, and lift approximately 50 pounds.
• Ability to work professionally and interact with co-workers, supervisors, and residents as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors, counters, walls, the dish room, and service areas in immaculate condition.
• Use cleaning and sanitizing agents safely and according to directions.
• Clean and efficiently store dishes and pans safely.
• Remove trash to the dumpster, replace trash-can liners as needed, and break down boxes for proper disposal.
• Perform advance preparation tasks as required.
• Work independently while following proper direction.
• Check and record temperatures as necessary to fulfill required duties.
• Assist with proper and sanitary food storage at the close of meal service.
• Complete assigned duties effectively, promptly, and professionally.
