About The Position

The Dishwasher maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen and work areas, equipment, and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing kitchenware and food-preparation areas, maintaining the dish area, and handling supplies and equipment according to assigned procedures and company safety standards. This is a part-time position in Kirkland, Washington, scheduled Monday through Thursday; hours may vary. A valid Food Handler Card is required. The fixed pay rate is $33.70 per hour.

Requirements

• A valid Food Handler Card is required.
• Use medium-weight cut gloves when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins, or cleaning a slicer.
• Use oven mitts, fryer gloves, or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers, or steam tables.
• Wear slip-resistant shoes and use proper lifting techniques.
• Be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or load them into racks or a dishwashing machine, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures.
• Polish silver using the assigned equipment and procedures, such as a burnishing machine, chemical dip, buffing wheel, or hand cloth.
• Follow outlined safety procedures.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels according to provided standards.
• Keep the dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food-preparation surfaces.
• Remove trash to designated containers and steam-clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Help load and unload supplies and products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
