About The Position

The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and other utensils, as well as trash containers and food and utility carts. The role includes cleaning and sanitizing the dish room and performing other general cleaning duties as assigned. This is a part-time evening position at Sonoran Crossing Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, scheduled from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on varied days.

Requirements

Some high school education is required.
Food Handlers Card certification is required.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Remove clean dishes from the dishwasher and store them in designated areas for use.
Remove soiled dishes, glassware, silverware, and trays from food carts and load them into dishwasher racks; clean food dish carts after removing soiled patient trays.
Operate the dishwasher and monitor and maintain its chemical levels to ensure dishes and utensils are clean and properly sanitized.
Handwash, rinse, and sanitize pots, pans, and utensils.
Clean the kitchen area and cooking utensils.
Clean and maintain floors in the dish room, walk-in, and kitchen areas; clean drains in the dishwasher, dish room, and kitchen.
Clean major equipment, hoods, and the facility on a scheduled basis when assigned.
Remove trash and recyclable items and transport them to collection areas.
Transport carts to patient floors and retrieve them at the end of meal service; monitor the doctors lounge dirty dish return cart.
Clean the trash compactor area and food service alley alcove when assigned.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
