About The Position

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. This includes washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils, as well as cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas. The role ensures that all food service operations have the necessary clean supplies to function efficiently and safely. This position is crucial for upholding hygiene standards within the food and nutrition department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

• Experience with commercial dishwashing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils using dishwashing equipment and by hand.
• Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into dishwashing machines.
• Wash and sanitize all kitchen equipment, including ovens, ranges, grills, and fryers.
• Clean and sanitize all food preparation surfaces, cutting boards, and utensils.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
• Empty trash and recycling bins.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and storage areas.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
