About The Position
LCB Senior Living is hiring part-time Dishwashers at The Residence at Selleck's Woods in Darien, Connecticut. Shifts are available from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The hourly wage range is $17.25–$19.75, based on years of experience. The role supports a restaurant-style dining atmosphere for residents and helps maintain clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and dining areas. Dishwashers work with the culinary team and assist with food storage, meal preparation, and special events as assigned. Part-time associates working 24–29 hours are offered paid time off and holiday pay. Additional stated offerings include the opportunity to work with a team, possible tuition reimbursement, and a rewarding role working with seniors.
Requirements
- Strong organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to resolve problems involving dissatisfied customers and/or associates.
- Ability to build positive, strong relationships with associates, coworkers, and residents.
- Focus and dedication to providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to handle multiple jobs and priorities.
- Education: Less than high school.
Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
- Maintain the kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
- Wash and store dishes and equipment in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Keep floors clean by sweeping, mopping, and washing, and empty trash.
- Assist with putting away and appropriately storing food orders.
- Assist chefs and servers as assigned.
- Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals or parties.
- Follow cleaning schedules as directed by the Culinary Services Director.
- Follow Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices.
- Clean and sanitize carpets, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and equipment used in the dining room.
- Communicate residents' likes and dislikes to the food service director and/or dining room manager for menu planning and resident satisfaction.
