About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring as-needed Dishwashers at The Residence at Glastonbury. The Dishwasher helps maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and dining area while supporting a restaurant-style dining atmosphere and providing excellent customer service. The role includes washing and storing dishes and equipment, cleaning floors and dining-room surfaces, handling food orders, and assisting chefs, servers, and special events.

Requirements

• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to resolve problems involving dissatisfied customers and/or associates.
• Ability to build positive, strong relationships with associates, coworkers, and residents.
• Focus and dedication to providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to handle multiple jobs and priorities.
• Less than high school education.
• Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment.
• Visual and auditory acuity.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 15 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull carts and continuously walk, sit, and stand.
• Ability to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below the waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
• Maintain the kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
• Wash and store dishes and equipment according to policies and procedures.
• Keep floors clean by sweeping, mopping, and washing, and empty trash.
• Assist with putting away and appropriately storing food orders.
• Assist chefs and servers as assigned.
• Assist with preparing and executing special events, banquets, and theme meals or parties.
• Follow cleaning schedules as directed by the Culinary Services Director.
• Follow Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices.
• Clean and sanitize carpets, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and dining-room equipment.
• Communicate resident likes and dislikes to the food service director and/or dining room manager for menu planning and resident satisfaction.
