DISHWASHER (PART TIME)
About The Position
FLIK is hiring a part-time Dishwasher at Portland Fire & Thorns in Hillsboro, Oregon. The role maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen areas, work surfaces, equipment, and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition. Duties include washing dishes and cookware, polishing silver, maintaining dish-area safety and sanitation, cleaning kitchen surfaces and floors, removing trash, and moving supplies and equipment. The schedule is part time, with days varying and 4-hour shifts listed from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; further details are provided during the interview. Previous dishwashing experience is required.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of dishwashing experience.
Responsibilities
- Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes, then wash them by hand or use the assigned dishwashing machine.
- Wash pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures.
- Polish silver using the assigned equipment and procedures.
- Follow outlined safety procedures.
- Maintain temperatures and chemical levels according to provided standards.
- Keep the dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors in accordance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food-preparation surfaces.
- Remove trash to designated containers and steam-clean or hose out garbage cans.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Help load and unload supplies and product.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
