About The Position

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of silverware, plateware, glassware, equipment, and cookware, and for keeping work areas clean, dry, and safe. The role works in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen and restaurant and requires extended periods of standing and working on one's feet. The job description reflects general duties and is not all-inclusive; responsibilities may change or be added based on business needs, with or without notice, consistent with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

Ability to keep up with a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen and restaurant.
Ability to stand and work on one's feet for extended periods.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.

Responsibilities

Wash dishes, glasses, pots, pans, and other kitchen items.
Clean and maintain trash bins and deposit kitchen and dish-room garbage in dumpsters.
Keep floors clean and free of spills, food, trash, and other obstacles.
Clean the walk-in cooler daily.
Circulate through the work area throughout the shift to maintain line of sight and atmosphere control.
Properly rotate dishes, pots, pans, and storage bins, including lifting them up to 40 pounds.
Maintain Cosm safety and sanitation standards.
Organize and maintain dishware storage.
Ensure eating and cooking utensils are cleaned, maintained, and stored properly in compliance with applicable health codes.
Assist other employees as needed.
Perform all opening and closing duties.
Assemble, disassemble, and descale the dish machine.
Comply with sanitation and safety requirements and all Cosm policies and procedures.
Demonstrate a Cosmworthy attitude.
