About The Position

The Dishwasher supports food service operations by performing dishwashing, cleaning, food storage, meal setup, and related duties. The role requires following infection-control and universal-precaution procedures, maintaining sanitary and orderly work areas, and adhering to CAPLICO Core Values and the Code of Conduct. The employee must follow instructions, use supplies and equipment appropriately, and interact tactfully with residents, families, coworkers, visitors, and the public. Other reasonable duties may be assigned by the Executive Director or Supervisor.

Requirements

Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies or personnel, and the general public.
Knowledge of dietary procedures.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to write, read, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

Adhere to CAPLICO Core Values and the Code of Conduct.
Follow established infection-control and universal-precaution policies and procedures.
Perform daily or scheduled cleaning, including cleaning work tables, meat blocks, kitchen equipment, refrigerators and freezers, and storerooms; sweeping and mopping floors; and washing, cleaning, and storing utensils as directed.
Keep food storage areas clean and properly arranged.
Dispose of food and waste according to established policies.
Set up meal trays, food carts, and the dining room as instructed.
Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures.
Remove food trays from carts and dining rooms and take them to the dishwashing area.
Prepare and deliver snacks as instructed.
Assist with inventorying and storing incoming food and supplies as necessary.
Attend and participate in mandatory training, in-services, and staff meetings.
Maintain supplies, equipment, and work-area appearance, and regularly inspect food service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Executive Director or Supervisor.
