About The Position

The Dishwasher joins the food and beverage team at 33 Hotel NYC and is responsible for cleaning, transporting, and storing china, glassware, and silverware. The role maintains cleanliness throughout the dish room, kitchen areas, and back dock, including operating and cleaning dishwashing equipment and handling waste. Associates are expected to support coworkers, communicate courteously with guests and colleagues, maintain professional standards, and follow hotel safety and security procedures. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain sanitation and cleanliness in the dish room, kitchen aisle, and dock area.
Break down trays; set up and operate the dish machine; wash dishware; and sort and store clean china, glass, and silver using proper procedures.
Empty trash cans and wash their interiors and exteriors.
Thoroughly clean the dock area and dumpster.
Break down the dish machine and clean its interior and exterior.
Clean all breakdown tables.
Clean tile on kitchen walls and baseboards.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Treat guests and associates courteously and respectfully, and maintain professional conduct.
Follow hotel security policies and procedures, including key controls, safe lifting, chemical use, and reporting safety hazards or concerns.
