Food Service - Dishwasher
About The Position
SSA Group is hiring a part-time Dishwasher at Brevard Zoo to support the culinary team and help provide a clean, welcoming guest experience. The role works in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment and involves cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, cookware, and equipment; maintaining dish and kitchen areas; managing waste and recycling; and supporting kitchen staff with efficient operations. The Dishwasher reports to the Kitchen Manager(s) and Chef Team. The position also includes following company policies and sanitation procedures, completing scheduled cleaning tasks, and supporting inclusive team practices and sustainability and community efforts. Other tasks may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Must be willing and able to stand for long periods.
- Ability to process dishes efficiently and organize the dish area according to business needs.
- Knowledge of MSDS and ability to follow dish-liquid use protocols and cleanliness practices.
- Dependability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, cookware, and kitchen equipment according to safe food preparation standards.
- Work with the kitchen team to store clean dishes and equipment properly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish and kitchen areas, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces.
- Empty and clean trash and recycling receptacles and separate waste properly.
- Maintain a sanitary and organized work environment and follow sanitation requirements.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks according to cleaning schedules.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including protocols for dish liquid use.
- Support kitchen staff and efficient kitchen operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Promote an inclusive and supportive team approach and contribute to sustainability, conservation, and community engagement efforts.
- Perform other tasks as necessary.
