About The Position

The Dishwasher works in the Deli department and reports to the Food Service Manager. The role maintains kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean and orderly condition. Duties include washing dishes, pots, pans, and trays; cleaning kitchen surfaces and floors; removing and cleaning trash containers; transferring supplies and equipment; and keeping the work area clean and sanitized. Other duties may be assigned. No prior experience or training is required.

Regularly stand and/or sit for eight hours at a time; walk; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
Frequently reach with hands and arms; occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Scrape food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or load them into racks or a conveyor for the dishwashing machine.
Wash pots, pans, and trays.
Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
Separate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers.
Steam-clean or hose out garbage cans.
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
Maintain a clean and sanitized work area at all times.
