Dishwasher (Full And Part Time)
About The Position
Morrison Living is hiring full-time and part-time Dishwashers at Hoosier Village in Indianapolis, Indiana. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours that may vary, and weekend availability is required. The pay range is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. At least one year of prior dishwashing experience is required. The Dishwasher maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen and work areas, equipment, and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition. The role is part of the culinary team and supports a safe, clean kitchen environment. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the openings are filled.
Requirements
- At least one year of prior dishwashing experience.
- Weekend availability is required.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or load them into racks or onto a conveyor for machine washing, as assigned.
- Ensure dishes and kitchen items are completely clean and sanitary.
- Wash pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures.
- Polish silver using assigned equipment and procedures, which may include a burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, or hand cloth.
- Follow established safety procedures.
- Maintain temperatures and chemical levels according to provided standards.
- Keep the dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors in accordance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food-preparation surfaces.
- Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam-clean or hose out garbage cans.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Help load and unload supplies and product.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
