About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring as-needed Dishwashers at The Residence at South Windsor Farms. The role supports a restaurant-style dining experience by keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean, safe, and sanitary, washing and storing dishes and equipment, and assisting culinary and dining staff. The position is located at The Residence at South Windsor in South Windsor, Connecticut. The wage range is $17.50–$18.50 per hour, based on years of experience.

Requirements

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to resolve problems involving dissatisfied customers and/or associates.
• Ability to build positive, strong relationships with associates, coworkers, and residents.
• Dedication to providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to handle multiple jobs and priorities.
• Less than high school education.
• Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment.
• Visual and auditory acuity.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 15 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull carts and continuously walk, sit, and stand.
• Ability to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below the waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks require.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
• Maintain the kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times.
• Wash and store dishes and equipment according to policies and procedures.
• Keep floors clean by sweeping, mopping, and washing, and empty trash.
• Assist with putting away and appropriately storing food orders.
• Assist chefs and servers as assigned.
• Assist with the preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals or parties.
• Follow cleaning schedules as directed by the Culinary Services Director.
• Follow Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices.
• Clean and sanitize carpets, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and equipment used in the dining room.
• Communicate residents’ likes and dislikes to the food service director and/or dining room manager for menu planning and resident satisfaction.
