About The Position

The Dishwasher operates the dishwashing machine and maintains orderly nutrition-services storage areas. The role also assists with kitchen, dish-room, and equipment maintenance in accordance with dining-services procedures. Duties include delivering water pitchers and food requests to stations, transporting carts, cleaning and storing food-service equipment and utensils, maintaining sanitation and cleanliness throughout work areas, and assisting with resident transportation during emergencies.

Requirements

Previous relevant experience is required.
Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English with residents, family members, and staff is required.

Responsibilities

Deliver clean water pitchers to nursing stations.
Maintain stock areas in a neat and orderly fashion daily.
Transport carts to and from appropriate dining areas.
Operate the dishwashing machine.
Monitor and record water temperatures and cleaning-compound usage.
Perform cleaning assignments as directed.
Clean food-service carts, dishes, utensils, trays, pots, and pans, and store them.
Use proper sanitation in food and service areas.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and appliances.
Deliver food requests to stations as needed.
Keep kitchen work areas and dining rooms clear of dirty dishes.
Sweep and mop floors and work areas.
Assist in transporting residents during fire, disaster, or emergency evacuation according to procedure.
