About The Position

Clean dishes, kitchen areas, food preparation equipment, and utensils. Perform dishwashing by machine or by hand, and keep kitchen work areas and equipment clean and orderly. The role also involves food preparation, stocking and storing supplies, handling deliveries, waste removal, and preparing individual place settings. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to listen and follow directions.
Ability to follow safety rules and guidelines throughout the kitchen and restaurant.
Must be able to work nights and weekends.
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at a time.

Prior completion of food safety coursework.

Responsibilities

Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans by dishwasher or by hand.
Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean and orderly condition.
Clean or prepare various foods for cooking or serving.
Stock food or utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
Sweep or scrub floors.
Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas by hand or using hand trucks.
Receive and store supplies.
Prepare and package individual place settings.
Load or unload trucks delivering or picking up food or supplies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
