About The Position

Bussers facilitate food service at Graziano's Coral Gables Restaurant. They clean and set tables, remove dirty dishes, replenish dining and service supplies, and assist with serving food and items such as water, bread, and condiments. The role includes cleaning dining and food-service areas, stocking supplies and beverage equipment, and helping waitstaff as needed. This is a full-time position, five days a week, with weekend work required and variable day and evening shifts: 10:30 am to 3 pm or 5 pm to 10:30 pm.

Requirements

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Must successfully complete the restaurant's training course.
Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
Able to lift, balance, and carry food trays weighing up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a busser preferred.

Responsibilities

Wipe tables or seats with dampened cloths and replace dirty tablecloths.
Set tables with clean linens, condiments, and other supplies.
Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and tableware to the kitchen for cleaning.
Clean spills and broken dishes and remove empty bottles and trash.
Perform serving, cleaning, or stocking duties to facilitate customer service.
Maintain adequate supplies of clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays.
Serve ice water, bread, butter, and condiments to patrons.
Fill beverage or ice dispensers.
Stock cabinets or serving areas with condiments and refill condiment containers.
Locate items requested by customers.
Carry trays from food counters to patrons' tables.
Carry food, dishes, trays, or silverware from kitchens or supply departments to serving counters.
Serve food to customers when waitstaff need assistance.
Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, and equipment in food-service or other restaurant areas; mop or vacuum floors.
Wash glasses or other serving equipment at bars.
Stock refrigerating units with wine or bottled beer and replace empty beer kegs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
