About The Position

The Dishwasher maintains kitchen work areas, restaurant equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition. The position reports to the Chef and performs dishwashing, cleaning, stock-handling, and other related duties. Work is primarily indoors and may involve extreme heat, abrupt temperature changes, and wet or humid conditions. The role requires medium physical effort, including lifting, carrying, or pulling objects.

Requirements

Ability to use hands to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy.
Ability to understand simple instructions.
Ability to learn simple procedures and techniques.
Ability to perform routine work or repeat the same task.

Responsibilities

Sweep and mop floors, including mopping hourly as needed.
Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
Separate and remove trash and garbage, place it in designated containers, and steam-clean or hose out garbage cans.
Sort bottles and break disposable bottles in a bottle-crushing machine.
Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand.
Scrape food from dishes and wash them by hand or load them into racks or onto a conveyor for the dishwashing machine.
Run glasses through the dish machine twice.
Polish silver using a burnishing-machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, or hand cloth when required.
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or using a truck.
Set up banquet tables when required.
Wash and peel vegetables using a knife or peeling machine when required.
Follow OSHA regulations and wear safety glasses when handling chemicals.
Put away and rotate stock, and store clean utensils and stock in designated areas.
Maintain personal hygiene and communicate with co-workers and management.
Report for scheduled shifts on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
Comply with company policies and procedures related to the position and its duties.
Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
Perform other related duties as required.
