DISHWASHER (FULL TIME)
About The Position
Epicurean is hiring a full-time Dishwasher at the Alameda Juvenile Justice Center in Oakland, California. The position maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen areas, work areas, equipment, and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition. The schedule is full time, with days varying and hours from 4:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; further details are provided upon interview. Previous experience is preferred, and a valid driver's license is required. The pay rate is $22.00 to $23.00 per hour. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing dishes, cookware, equipment, and food-preparation surfaces; maintaining dish-area safety and sanitation; handling trash; and moving or loading supplies and products. Responsibilities
- Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or load them into racks or a dishwashing machine, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
- Wash pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures.
- Polish silver using the assigned equipment and procedures, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
- Follow established safety procedures.
- Maintain temperatures and chemical levels according to provided standards.
- Keep the dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food-preparation surfaces.
- Remove trash to designated containers and steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Help load and unload supplies and product.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
