About The Position
Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition. The position is at Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with a full-time schedule Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Previous experience is not necessary. The pay range is $15.00 to $17.00 per hour. Flik Independent School Dining provides foodservice and nutrition education in private and independent school communities. Its meals use fresh, locally sourced ingredients and support sustainable agricultural practices. Responsibilities
- Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes, then wash them by hand or load them into the dishwashing machine, depending on assigned equipment.
- Ensure dishes, pots, pans, trays, and work areas are clean and sanitized.
- Wash pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures.
- Polish silver using assigned equipment and procedures.
- Follow established safety procedures and maintain temperatures and chemical levels according to provided standards.
- Keep the dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors in compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food-preparation surfaces.
- Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Help load and unload supplies and product.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
