About The Position

The Dishwasher performs kitchen cleaning and storage activities, including dishwashing, pot washing, general and equipment cleaning, and the storage and rotation of food and supplies. The role handles food, storage, and cleaning activities in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards and follows applicable federal, state, and local requirements for food storage, cleaning, and preparation.

This position helps maintain an organized, clean kitchen and dish area, supports food preparation and delivery storage, and completes cleaning duties assigned by the chef. The Dishwasher works in a fast-paced hospitality and entertainment environment at Star Cinema Grill.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or a casual dining restaurant.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift 25 pounds, and bend, climb, or work in confined spaces.
• Organizational and time-management skills, with good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean kitchen, wash and sort soiled dishes, and prepare food as needed; keep the dish area uncluttered and organized.
• Set up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
• Keep floors clean and dry throughout the shift.
• Wash, stack, and store china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers properly.
• Change machine and sink water every two hours or more often as required by business levels, and use chemical dilutions properly.
• Assist with storing food deliveries in a timely manner.
• Maintain trash cans throughout the shift and remove full trash cans and boxes at the end of each shift.
• Maintain the dry storage area and organize storage shelves.
• Follow the posted daily dish-cleaning duties.
• Assist with food preparation and other duties requested by the chef as needed.
