About The Position

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is hiring a Dishwasher to support its culinary team across concerts, weddings, private events, catering, concessions, and daily dining operations. The Dishwasher helps ensure chefs and service staff have clean equipment, cookware, and service ware to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role supports cafe, catering, concessions, banquet, and event operations in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with flexible scheduling for evenings, weekends, and events.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.

Nice To Haves

• Previous dishwasher, kitchen utility, restaurant, catering, hospitality, or food service experience.
• Experience working in high-volume kitchens or event environments.
• Knowledge of commercial dishwashing equipment and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe dishwashing and kitchen areas.
• Support cafe, catering, concessions, banquet, and event operations.
• Restock clean dishes, glassware, and kitchen supplies throughout service.
• Assist with event setup, breakdown, and kitchen support as needed.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and cleaning standards.
• Work closely with chefs, cooks, and hospitality staff to keep operations running smoothly.
• Help maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.
