About The Position

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is hiring guest-focused Bartenders to serve guests at concerts, weddings, special events, private functions, and other experiences at the cultural destination. Bartenders prepare and serve beverages, provide welcoming and professional hospitality, and help create memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced environment. The role supports event setup and service as needed and includes work in indoor and outdoor environments. Scheduling is flexible and may include evenings, weekends, and events.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of bartending, restaurant, catering, banquet, or hospitality experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to obtain TIPS Certification.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and event schedules.
• Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of bartending experience.
• Experience in high-volume hospitality or event environments.
• Knowledge of POS systems.
• Strong mixology and beverage service knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Deliver exceptional guest service with a welcoming and professional attitude.
• Follow standardized recipes and pour controls to ensure quality and consistency.
• Process orders and payments through POS systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service and comply with liquor laws.
• Support concerts, weddings, private events, and special programs.
• Assist with event setup, service, and guest engagement as needed.
• Help create a memorable experience for every guest.
