About The Position

At Vivie, the Dishwasher helps keep kitchen and dining spaces clean, safe, and operating smoothly. Through attention to detail, efficiency, and teamwork, this role helps create a welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff and supports the quality and enjoyment of meals served at Vivie. The role is hourly and non-exempt, in the Culinary department, and has no supervisory responsibilities. Travel is not required.

Requirements

• Current high school student, high school diploma, or equivalent required.
• Energetic, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to pass a state-mandated background check.
• Physical capability to perform all essential job functions.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with staff, residents, and visitors.

Nice To Haves

• Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans; ensure items are properly sanitized and stored.
• Safely operate dishwashing equipment, follow safety procedures, monitor water temperature, and notify the supervisor about equipment concerns.
• Handle and discard leftover food, empty trash containers, and follow infection control guidelines.
• Restock food and non-food items to support kitchen operations.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth, efficient, and positive kitchen environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned; listed duties are representative and not necessarily all-inclusive.
