About The Position

The Airport Lounge Dishwasher performs back-of-house cleaning and support duties for company operations at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Responsibilities include cleaning dishware and operating the dishwashing machine; sanitizing kitchens, breakrooms, and lounge areas; restocking service and kitchen supplies; assisting with table bussing and cleaning; removing trash and recyclables; and helping with deliveries. The role follows established instructions, health and safety procedures, and applicable regulations, and requires current food handler certification and airport badges or permits as applicable. The position pays $19.00 per hour and offers shifts from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM, or 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Requirements

• Ability to pass an airport authority security background check and obtain clearance to work in an airport environment.
• Must be at least 18 or 21 years of age, as applicable by law.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and communicate verbally with customers, passengers, and coworkers.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days off.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to cooperate with peers, customers, and supervisors of diverse backgrounds and views.
• Ability to pass and maintain licenses and certifications as applicable by law.
• Ability to stand throughout the scheduled shift and handle the stress of a fast-paced shift of up to ten hours.
• Ability to read and interpret basic documents and follow company policies and procedures.
• Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and group settings.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule-based instructions.
• Ability to bend, climb, crouch, hear, kneel, reach, speak, stand, turn, twist, and walk.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds to a height of 40 inches without assistance.
• Ability to push and/or pull 120 pounds with the assistance of a wheeled cart.
• Ability to perform tasks safely and follow established procedures to prevent injury or damage to the environment, facilities, and equipment.
• Maintain personal appearance and grooming that present a favorable corporate and customer image.

Responsibilities

• Restock bar and kitchen supplies in service and other work areas to meet health standards.
• Clean dishware and operate the dishwashing machine.
• Clean and disinfect breakrooms and kitchens, including sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, and refrigerators.
• Assist with cleaning lounge areas.
• Assist with bussing and cleaning tables when needed.
• Empty wastebaskets and recycling and transport them to disposal areas.
• Assist with deliveries by loading and unloading products according to the FIFO method.
• Obtain and maintain food handler certification and current city and state approved badges and permits, as applicable.
• Follow local and state health department and other state agency regulations.
• Remove trash throughout the lounge and take it to designated disposal areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Follow company standards, policies, procedures, and lawful safety and health regulations.
• Report to work on a regular and timely basis.
