About The Position

The Dishwasher monitors and records water temperature and sanitizer solution levels and notifies management if levels are incorrect. The role may occasionally assist with food preparation and other kitchen duties. The Dishwasher observes sanitary guidelines and environmental requirements; sets up, breaks down, cleans, and checks the operation of the dishwashing machine and its components; and cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces, the ware-washing system, garbage cans, and kitchen areas. The role also maintains the cleaning-supplies and chemicals storage room, keeping it clean and supplies stocked, labeled, and organized. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with kitchen organization.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to occasionally assist with other kitchen duties.
• Completion of a background check, which may include a drug screen, physical, TB test, and fingerprinting per state or local guidelines.
• CPR and first aid certification may be required in certain state or local jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record water temperature and sanitizer solution levels; notify management if levels are incorrect.
• Occasionally assist with food preparation and other kitchen duties.
• Understand and observe sanitary guidelines and environmental requirements.
• Set up and break down the dishwashing machine as necessary, including its arms, screens, traps, and baskets; clean the machine inside and outside and check that it operates properly.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces, the ware-washing system, garbage cans, and kitchen areas.
• Maintain the cleaning-supplies and chemicals storage room, keeping it clean and items stocked, labeled, and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
