About The Position

Distinctive Living is hiring a Dishwasher/Server for its Mira Vie at Bridgewater location in Bridgewater, New Jersey. The role is responsible for activities in the Restaurant and Hospitality Department under the direction of the Director, Restaurant and Hospitality. It supports quality service during meals, compliance with the community’s special diets, and communication with Distinctive Living on appropriate matters. The position promotes a positive dining experience by supporting service quality, efficient meal delivery, resident satisfaction, cleanliness, and safe work practices. The posting welcomes high school students and offers full-time or part-time work.

Responsibilities

Develop a positive customer-service culture in the dining room through staff training.
Evaluate service quality and develop systems to maximize meal-delivery efficiency while maintaining a pleasant dining experience.
Ensure staff provide service that supports positive resident experiences during meals.
Circulate in the dining room to learn residents’ preferences and assess satisfaction with meals.
Develop service systems that balance meal-delivery quality and speed.
Maintain a clean dining room, including equipment, walls, tabletops and bases, and chairs.
Ensure linens are changed as needed and tabletop condiments and salt and pepper shakers are kept clean.
Work safely and manage unsafe actions by employees working with them, in compliance with the Safety Committee Standard.
Assist the Executive Director, when required, with workplace-injury investigation, return-to-work matters, and communication with the injured worker’s care provider and Distinctive Living.
Foster teamwork, show initiative in overcoming obstacles, assist others beyond assigned responsibilities, and have a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors.
