About The Position

Alto Clermont is hiring a full-time Dietary Aide to support its culinary team and create a welcoming dining experience for residents and guests at its assisted living and memory care community in Clermont, Florida. The role accommodates residents and guests during meals by attending to their needs in a friendly, timely, and professional manner. Duties include serving meals and beverages, assisting with dining room setup and cleanup, supporting food preparation and plating as needed, and respecting residents’ dietary preferences and needs. The position also involves maintaining clean and sanitized dining and work areas, following food safety and sanitation guidelines, and delivering and retrieving trays from residents’ apartments as needed. The role is full-time, with varying days and first-shift hours of either 6:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. or 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Pay is $15.00 per hour. No certifications are required. Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must have a positive criminal background screening.
Must adhere to the company’s Drug Free Workplace policy; associates are subject to its requirements.
Must pay attention to detail and demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, safety awareness, and teamwork.
Must be able to work on their feet in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience serving older adults in an assisted living or similar setting is preferred.
Food serving experience is preferred.
A friendly, patient, service-oriented personality and dependability are sought.

Responsibilities

Greet and seat residents and guests in a timely and professional manner.
Interact with residents and guests in a friendly, service-oriented, and professional manner.
Serve food and beverages efficiently and professionally.
Clear tables of glasses, silverware, dishes, and other items according to company protocol.
Assist with dining room setup, breakdown, and cleaning.
Maintain and sanitize the dining room, including chairs, windows, floors, and work areas, after each meal period.
Support the kitchen team with food preparation and plating as needed.
Honor residents’ dietary preferences and needs at every meal.
Deliver and retrieve trays to and from residents’ apartments as needed.
Label and date all food.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
