About The Position

The Dietary Aide assists with food service functions to ensure patients’ dining needs are met in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Daily work includes assisting with food preparation and serving while maintaining clean and sanitary conditions. The posting lists full-time hours Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., or part-time hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. It also describes the role as involving dishwasher duties and some dietary aide work.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior health-care experience is preferred.
• Prior food services experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and serving.
• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions.
• Implement and interpret department programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain professional working relationships with associates, vendors, and others.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients.
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
