Dishwasher/Dietary Aide (On Call)
About The Position
Join Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) as a Dishwasher/Dietary Aide, helping maintain the cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas in a long-term care facility. The role supports nutritious meal service and positive experiences for residents, guests, and staff. Duties include dishwashing, sanitizing, waste disposal, and, as needed, trayline and food preparation work. The position requires following food-safety and sanitation guidelines and performing routine, repetitive tasks continuously. Employees must be able to work around food and cleaning products and reside within the service area. Pay starts at $18.42 per hour and may vary based on location, experience, staffing needs, and other business factors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous food service or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
- Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 30 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by state or county law.
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
- Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
- Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils thoroughly.
- Sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, and dining areas.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Dispose of waste and recycle materials as needed.
- Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests and provide excellent customer service.
- Perform trayline and food preparation duties as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
