About The Position

DIG is hiring a Dishwasher/Prep Cook for its scratch-based kitchen. The role is intended for someone passionate about good food and restaurant operations who is interested in learning culinary practices, developing skills, and gaining exposure to different restaurant stations. Team members work in a fast-paced culinary environment, supporting kitchen operations during peak and off-peak service and helping maintain food-safety standards. The position may involve duties being added or removed at DIG's or its managers' discretion.

Requirements

Passion for good food and a desire to learn culinary practices and skills.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to meet the position's physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodations, including frequently lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
Ability to see, hear, speak, reach, bend, and move intermittently during working hours, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

Wash dishes, pots, and other items using dishwashers or by hand.
Maintain cleanliness in dishwashing and prep kitchen workstations.
Stock cleaning supplies and dishes in their designated areas.
Sort and remove trash and place it in designated pickup areas.
Support team members and managers with daily cleaning tasks.
Gain exposure to kitchen stations including garde manger, grill, roast, market line, and prep.
Support the team during peak and off-peak service by helping wherever and whenever needed.
Work to maintain the restaurant's A letter grade by following Department of Health and DIG food-safety standards.
