About The Position

The primary responsibility of the pot washer is to maintain the cleanliness of all pots, pans, and kitchen utensils. This position adheres to all HACCP and other regulatory agency policies.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to effectively communicate information and respond in English to questions from all Hospital’s publics.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, speak and hear.
• Lifting is limited to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. Must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with lifts over these maximum limits.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining an adequate supply of clean, grease-free pots, pans, and other duties as assigned.
• Ensuring correct temperatures of water for washing and sanitizing pots/pans/dishes according to HACCP and regulatory agency standards.
• Communicating potential problems with the production supervisor when necessary.
• Following safe work practices and keeping the work area clean, sanitized, and free of debris.
• Prompt set-up of catered events as requested on the special event sheets.
• Ensuring all services are provided in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
