About The Position

Southside Market & Barbeque is seeking a part-time Dish Attendant to support its growing business and contribute to its focus on consistent premium-quality food, excellent customer service, and Texas-friendly hospitality. The role is responsible for cleaning and organizing dishes, cookware, and the dishwashing station, and for moving clean dishes to service and storage areas. A Food Handler Certificate is required before the first day of work.

Requirements

• Food Handler Certificate required before day one.
• Ability to listen, read, write, and speak fluently in English for job-related circumstances.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils, and load them into racks for the dish machine.
• Sort and stack clean dishes.
• Carry clean dishes to the service line and appropriate storage areas.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand.
• Take trash and garbage to the dumpster.
• Set up or break down the dishwashing area.
• Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing station.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
