About The Position

The Dish Attendant maintains the dishwashing area and handles cleaning, sorting, and storing dishes and kitchen utensils. The role also involves removing trash and completing other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Food Handler Certificate required before the first day of work.
• Ability to listen, read, write, and speak English fluently for job-related circumstances.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Practical problem-solving skills.
• Frequently stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
• Regularly reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils, then place them in racks for the dish machine.
• Sort and stack clean dishes.
• Carry clean dishes to the service line and appropriate storage areas.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand.
• Remove trash and garbage to the dumpster.
• Set up or break down the dishwashing area.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing station.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
