About The Position

Bavarian Inn Restaurant is hiring seasonal dish machine operators to support its dishwashing team. The restaurant serves family-style chicken dinners to as many as 4,000 guests each day, and this role helps keep the kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. The position offers 15–30 hours per week at $15 per hour. Example shifts are 11 a.m.–7 p.m., 1 p.m.–9 p.m., and 3 p.m.–close; closing staff usually leave between 10 p.m. and midnight. Scheduling requires availability for at least two weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. The restaurant offers up to $10,000 in tuition reimbursement, up to $1,000 in referral incentives for each referred friend who joins the team, flexible scheduling, free meals while on the clock, and other team-member perks.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting of full glass racks.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 or more hours.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and complete dishes efficiently to support speed of service.
• Availability for at least two weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Pre-soak or scrape food residue from dishes.
• Sort and stack dirty dishes safely.
• Load dirty dishes into racks for the dish machine.
• Operate dish machines to clean and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, glassware, and silverware.
• Unload clean dishes and racks from the machine.
• Return sanitized items to their proper locations.
• Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area.
• Monitor and replenish detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Inspect dishwashing equipment and report maintenance issues.
• Dispose of kitchen waste and recycling appropriately.
• Assist with cleaning kitchen floors, walls, and equipment.
• Help organize and store kitchen equipment and supplies.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent contamination and accidents.
• Complete end-of-shift cleaning tasks so the dishwashing area is ready for the next shift.
