About The Position

KENT Nutrition Group, Inc., a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE family of companies, is hiring Machine Operators in Arcade, New York. The role supports safe and efficient production of high-quality feed products. First-, second-, and third-shift schedules are available. The compensation range is $19.00–$19.50, in addition to standard benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k). Final compensation may vary based on candidate skills, responsibilities, location, and other pertinent factors.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
3 to 5 years of manufacturing or factory experience.
Basic computer knowledge.
Good verbal, written, communication, and math skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
Ability to work as a team member.
Thorough understanding of cGMPs.
Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Safety Plan, and FSMA.
Ability to lift at least 55 pounds from floor to working height as the job requires.
Ability to operate a forklift.
Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment daily to process and manufacture feed products.
Operate the bagger, sewing machine, forklift, and other feed-manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
Follow warehouse and loading protocols.
Meet quality-assurance requirements for ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging.
Record and document all feed manufactured during the shift.
Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently, accurately, and to a high quality standard.
Assist management with production scheduling and inventory planning and control for ingredients and finished products.
Assist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed.
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
Provide excellent customer service.
Observe and enforce company policies and procedures.
Perform general facility work and other duties as assigned.
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
