About The Position

Skillforce is hiring experienced Machine Operators for a six-week manufacturing project in Apple Creek, Ohio. The role involves operating manufacturing equipment, monitoring production processes, inspecting finished products, and maintaining quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position pays $25–$35 per hour, with per diem and travel support for qualified travelers. The schedule is 40 or more hours per week, with first, second, and third shifts available.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing, industrial, or machine shop environment.
• Ability to follow work instructions, production specifications, and quality control procedures.
• Familiarity with measuring tools and inspecting finished products for accuracy and quality.
• Basic understanding of machine operation, equipment adjustments, and troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manufacturing machinery and equipment according to production requirements and work instructions.
• Load and unload materials, position workpieces, and ensure proper machine operation.
• Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments to maintain production efficiency and quality.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy, dimensions, and compliance with quality standards.
• Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to check product specifications and identify defects.
• Identify machine malfunctions, production issues, and potential equipment problems.
• Perform routine machine checks and assist with basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Follow production schedules and maintain accurate production records as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
