About The Position

Baptist Health is looking for a Disclosure Specialist- Release of Information to join our team in Louisville, KY! This onsite position is responsible for the day-to-day fulfillment of medical record requests, including retrieving records, preparing disclosures, printing, mailing, and electronically delivering records to authorized requestors. The position supports regulatory compliance, customer service expectations, and timely completion of ROI requests across the health system.

Requirements

• Associate degree with two years' experience.
• Health Information Management and/or Release of Information experience required.

Nice To Haves

• RHIT or RHIA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes and fulfills medical record requests by retrieving, reviewing, preparing, and releasing patient information while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, regulatory requirements, and Baptist Health policies.
• Day-to-day fulfillment of medical record requests, including retrieving records, preparing disclosures, printing, mailing, and electronically delivering records to authorized requestors.
• Supports regulatory compliance, customer service expectations, and timely completion of ROI requests across the health system.
