About The Position

The 2027 Jewish Community Inclusion Program – Disability Services Fellowship is a paid, yearlong fellowship running from January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2027. It is designed to cultivate new leaders in the Jewish community disability services field. The Fellow will support and expand the Jewish Community Inclusion Program (JCIP) at JFCS through leadership opportunities and community engagement initiatives, gaining professional experience, mentorship, and training. The Fellow will collaborate with JFCS staff across departments, develop opportunities with community partner organizations, promote accessibility and inclusion at JFCS events and external programs, and build supportive relationships with program participants and their families. Projects will be shaped by the Fellow’s interests and program needs. The role is hybrid, approximately 15 hours per week, including at least 7.5 hours per week in the JFCS Golden Valley office. A flexible schedule is required, including some evening and weekend availability, especially Sundays, to attend community events and programs. The fellowship may suit graduate students in social work, disability policy and services, nonprofit administration, education, or related fields; early-career professionals seeking experience and training in disability services, Jewish communal work, and human services; and people who need a community organization placement for a relevant degree or licensure program, provided their requirements align with the fellowship parameters. The fellowship provides a $10,000 stipend for the term. The Fellow may also be eligible for course credit if permitted by their degree program. JFCS staff provide ongoing mentorship, and the Fellow can participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities and build community connections to support future career goals.
