About The Position

The Director develops and maintains community-based infrastructure and partnerships to support culturally competent outreach and improve access to Mayo Clinic Arizona (MCA) services. The role develops community education about end-stage renal, liver, and heart disease; works to increase external referrals through local visits to physicians’ offices, dialysis centers, and other healthcare providers; and expands access to MCA patient services. The Director develops and supports collaborative education projects for patients, nurses, and physicians about the transplant process, designs and implements an organ-program-specific strategic outreach plan, and reports metrics monthly to the Transplant Center Director and Operations Administrator. In either role, the Director maintains an inventory of relevant internal resources and uses experience securing extramural support and relationships with local, state, and federal agency representatives to augment resources and coordinate outreach infrastructure and partnerships.
