About The Position

Man Group's US finance team currently consists of nine professionals across two locations; New York, NY and Fort Worth, TX, supporting Man Group's US-based entities and the wider global finance function. The team has grown through recent acquisitions, bringing together people from different organizations, each with their own processes and systems. This newly created role is a significant step in the evolution of the US finance function. It will unite the team under single leadership, drive consistency across locations, and act as the bridge between the US and Man Group's global finance operations in London. It offers a genuine opportunity to shape how US finance operates at one of the world's leading alternative investment managers. This senior leadership role sits at the heart of Man Group's US finance team. The Director will build a unified, high-performing finance team following a period of acquisitive growth, own the delivery of core finance processes, and act as the primary finance partner for US-based business leaders. The successful candidate will be a technically strong, hands-on finance leader and US GAAP expert with a solid grasp of IFRS, comfortable navigating complex regulatory environments and engaging senior stakeholders across geographies. They will act with a high degree of autonomy while staying closely aligned with the London-based Group Financial Controller and global leadership. This is a highly visible role for someone who thrives on complexity, enjoys building things, and wants to make a lasting impact on the function they lead.
