About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking a Director – Support Services who embodies its values of excellence, compassion, teamwork, and purpose. The Director is responsible for the financial management and quality service of assigned departments, which may include Environmental/Linen Service, Materials Management, Maintenance, Building and Grounds, Guest Relations, Safety, and Human Resources.

The role maintains cleaning standards, safety requirements, blood and body fluid precautions, consistent departmental quality standards, and compliance with state, federal, and local regulations. The Director implements improvements to service quality and facility cleanliness, hires and trains staff, and monitors workforce productivity and effectiveness. The position participates on the organization’s Senior Management Team and acts as Administrator on call.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, plus 2–4 years of experience in a management, supervisory, or leadership role; alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience providing comparable job knowledge.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree and/or Registered Dietitian with Indiana Certification.
• Knowledge of The Joint Commission standards and Life Safety Code.
• Knowledge of foodservice safety and sanitation requirements.

Responsibilities
