Sony Consumer Products is seeking a Director, Retail Marketing and Development to serve as a strategic leader for Hardlines, Softlines, and Publishing at key retail accounts like Target, Walmart, and Amazon, as well as with e-commerce partners. This role is responsible for building and driving multi-category program development from ideation and strategy to execution, aiming to achieve organizational objectives for market share, volume, revenue, operating income, and brand awareness. The position involves managing the retail development budget for assigned accounts and ensuring revenue goals are met. It also requires cultivating strong relationships with retailer buyers, marketing managers, and key agencies/suppliers, with the ability to influence accounts by selling in key programs. Financial acumen and analytical skills are essential for building successful strategies. The role involves working with category sales teams, licensees, and buyers to ensure cross-category placement at key retailers across various product types (e.g., Toys, collectibles, apparel, consumables, home, publishing). Additionally, the Director will manage marketing programs, including digital/social campaigns and in-store events, that span multiple business segments and IP for Sony film and television franchises within the consumer products department.
