We are seeking an inspirational, patient-centered nurse leader to serve as Director of Surgical & Procedural Services at SSM Health Monroe Clinic Hospital, a 58-bed community hospital serving rural southern Wisconsin. This leader will provide strategic and operational oversight for a diverse portfolio of procedural services, including the Operating Room, Surgical Center, PACU, Endoscopy, Sterile Processing, Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, and Anesthesia. Key responsibilities include leading day-to-day operations, developing and executing strategy, ensuring responsible fiscal stewardship, optimizing resources and workflows, and advancing evidence-based practices that support high reliability, exceptional quality, and patient safety. We are looking for a leader who understands that strong performance begins with strong relationships. Successful candidates will demonstrate a history of building collaborative, cross-functional partnerships, communicating effectively across disciplines, and navigating difficult conversations with confidence, professionalism, and respect. This individual will be skilled in coaching and developing leaders and teams, engaging high performers, creating accountability, and fostering a culture where people feel valued and empowered to achieve excellence. The ideal candidate will bring experience in Lean methodology, process improvement, project management, operational efficiency, and the use of quality and patient safety metrics to drive meaningful improvement. Previous leadership experience within surgical and procedural services is preferred.
