About the position

Maven Clinic is seeking a director-level People Partner to support their Clinical, Finance, and Legal organizations. This role involves developing and executing people strategies aligned with the business goals of the client groups, delivering various people programs, and providing strategic counsel to key executives. The ideal candidate should have strong relationship-building skills, be metrics-driven, and have a bias for action. They will be responsible for driving engagement, developing leaders, and implementing talent strategies to address retention and development needs. Additionally, the People Partner will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to a high-performance culture within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Clinical, Finance, and Legal organizations by developing and executing people strategies that align with their business strategies
  • Deliver people programs such as performance management, compensation review, manager training, employee workshops, and engagement surveys
  • Provide strategic counsel and guidance to the Chief Medical Officer, General Counsel, and Chief Financial Officer in building their teams and developing programs and policies
  • Act as a strategic partner in scaling the W2 provider organization, focusing on total reward and performance management and overall team engagement
  • Coach and develop leaders at all levels in the organization and demonstrate objectiveness and empathy in working with employees
  • Use people data insights to drive engagement and a high-performance culture within client groups and across the company
  • Create and implement talent strategies to address retention and development needs
  • Build structures and processes to improve efficiency and sustainability, with a focus on operating at scale
  • Continuously iterate on people programs based on feedback and identify opportunities for new company-wide programs
  • Establish credibility through actions and interactions with employees
  • Mentor and provide guidance to up-and-coming People leaders
  • Partner with Recruiting to enhance candidate experience and streamline onboarding
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear roles and responsibilities and efficient processes

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Human Resources Business Partner, People leadership, or equivalent business operations roles
  • People Partner background working specifically with clinical and provider client groups
  • Experience and sound understanding of healthcare organizations
  • Proven success partnering with executive-level leaders to help them achieve their goals
  • Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills and ability to establish rapport, quickly build credibility, and engage in executive-level partnerships
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills in all forms that exhibit objectiveness, empathy, patience, and diplomacy
  • An entrepreneurial drive, ability to create order from chaos, and willingness to roll
