About The Position

Christ Community Church in Rochester, Minnesota, is seeking a genuine, humble, passionate leader to lead its worship ministries. The Director of Worship & Arts helps people meet and follow Jesus through music, media, and other artistic expression. The role leads worship and production, recruits and develops leaders, and works collaboratively to plan worship services. The ideal candidate is highly proficient vocally and on at least one instrument, can build teams and conduct rehearsals, and has working knowledge of audiovisual technology for troubleshooting. Familiarity with ProPresenter, Ableton, Lightkey, and ProLogic is expected. Christ Community Church is part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination and seeks to be a church of generous people who honor Jesus, love each other, and serve their neighbors. The church holds three services each weekend, with about 1,100 people participating. Its worship culture is described as sincere and responsive. The Director reports to the Lead Pastor, collaborates with the Communications Team and other staff, and provides leadership for the Tech Director and Student Impact worship leader. The position may require licensing with The Christian & Missionary Alliance. Requirements

At least 3–5 years of relevant leadership experience.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Demonstrated team-building ability and high emotional intelligence.
Ability to design effective worship services that are relevant, excellent, intentional, and effective in supporting the church’s mission.
Alignment with the Christian & Missionary Alliance and willingness to pursue licensing.
Strong, mature, and growing faith in Jesus; passion for the local church; and character and conduct described as above reproach.
Care for people who do not know Jesus and a willingness to approach uncertain answers with humility and curiosity.
Ability to lead worship from an instrument, read music, and direct musicians.
Genuine love for people, a sense of humor, and a collaborative, coachable approach.
Ability to develop processes and systems, devise creative initiatives, and lead and manage change.
Proficiency as a vocalist and on at least one instrument.
Working knowledge of audiovisual technology for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Experience with ProPresenter, Ableton, Lightkey, and ProLogic.

Nice To Haves

An undergraduate degree in worship ministries or another creative field.

Responsibilities

Champion Christ Community Church’s mission and vision.
Lead the Worship & Arts Ministry toward increasing engagement and excellence.
Develop other worship leaders for the stage.
Recruit, train, schedule, and coordinate teams and team leaders for services.
Schedule and oversee rehearsals for all teams.
Lead the worship-service planning process.
Meet regularly with worship, tech, and arts teams for discipleship, relationship building, planning, and troubleshooting.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance for kidcity and Impact worship leaders and teams.
Assist with additional on-campus services, including weddings, funerals, and seasonal events.
Maintain and upgrade sound, music, and video equipment as needed.
Create short- and long-term plans for technical-equipment maintenance and improvements.
Provide leadership for the Tech Director and Student Impact worship leader.
Collaborate with the Communications Team and other staff members as needed.
