About The Position

Christ Church of the Valley is a small, friendly Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA)-affiliated congregation in Cashiers, North Carolina, with highly seasonal attendance. The church seeks a pastor who is consistently present, available, and engaged in the daily life of the church and community. The pastor will shepherd and disciple the congregation, teach Scripture faithfully, and connect meaningfully with the community, including reaching people who are unreached or unengaged and encouraging the church to do likewise.

Applicants must have C&MA accreditation and licensing. Candidates not already ordained with the C&MA will be required to complete the ordination process within their first two years. To be considered, applicants should complete the application and include their testimony, resume, and other background information related to the position. If the district office reviews the application and considers the applicant a potential match, the hiring manager will reach out about next steps. Requirements

• At least five years of experience as a senior pastor in local church ministry; mission experience with a recognized mission agency may also be considered.
• C&MA accreditation and license are required.
• Candidates not already ordained with the C&MA must complete the ordination process within the first two years.
• Demonstrated ability to shepherd people, speak well, teach Scripture faithfully, disciple a congregation, and connect with and reach into the community.

Nice To Haves

• A Bible college or seminary degree is preferred; other solid ministry preparation may be considered.
