The Worship Director strengthens Epicentre’s identity, mission, and vision by cultivating a vibrant, Spirit-led culture of worship and prayer and leading worship and creative teams that serve the Word, invite ministry response, and build unity for mission. The role cultivates Godly Love and Equipping-Based Empowerment while creating clear pathways to identify, train, and multiply worship and creative leaders. This is a 0.5 FTE role of 20 hours per week. The position prioritizes Sunday worship and developing the worship team. Creative and technical execution is shared with the Technical Director and volunteers, so the Worship Director sets direction and equips others rather than carrying every task alone. The work format is hybrid: on-site Sundays, in-office Tuesdays and Thursdays for staff rhythms, with remaining hours flexible. The target start date is November 15, 2026. The position reports to the Executive Pastor and supervises the Part-Time Technical Director, worship leaders, musicians, vocalists, and worship and creative volunteers. The Worship Director leads Sunday worship and oversees its planning, team rotation, rehearsals, administration, and execution. The role develops worship leaders and team health through coaching, apprenticeships, training, delegation, and pastoral care. It leads weekly Production & Sermon Team planning, translates service vision into executable plans, sets creative direction for visuals, stage, lighting, and video, and supervises and coaches the Technical Director. The Director also cultivates church-wide worship and prayer, partners with House of Prayer leadership, provides worship leadership for World Mandate LA and other scheduled gatherings, and participates in staff meetings, retreats, conferences, and church life. Candidates should demonstrate Christ-like maturity, musical and leadership competence, healthy capacity for focused part-time work, alignment with Epicentre’s convictions, and collaborative relational skills. Completion of, or commitment to, Epicentre/Antioch Discipleship School is expected. Demonstrated experience leading congregational worship in a local church is required. Formal music or theological training, or equivalent experience, is preferred. Staff must affirm and live in accordance with Epicentre’s Statement of Faith and adhere to its Employee Handbook.
