About The Position

LifeSTEPS is seeking a highly motivated Director of Social Services/Program Coordinator to empower low-income individuals and families through education, resources, stable housing, and supportive evidence-based services. The role supports residents—particularly older adults—in thriving in place and building resilient communities through client assistance, case management, service coordination, and community outreach.

The position also supports children from low-income and underserved families through an after-school program, providing a safe and caring place for homework assistance and academic enrichment. The program aims to help children thrive and become empowered, resilient adults.

This is a non-exempt, part-time position based in Hesperia, California, with approximately 74 hours per month. The stated pay range is $19.00–$27.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree.
• Two years of experience in a similar environment providing social services to multifamily households, seniors, and children.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Reliable, insured transportation.
