About The Position
The Horsham Clinic is seeking an energetic, creative and mission-focused Director of Social Services for its adult populations. This role offers both administrative and clinical leadership to the Social Services department. The position involves interviewing and recommending new hires, overseeing training and development, and supervising department staff in alignment with the facility's philosophy, goals, and standards. The Director ensures the department maintains a safe and therapeutic environment, exemplifying service excellence and fostering departmental growth. Responsibilities include evaluating program needs, modifying changes as necessary, managing discharge planning, maintaining relationships with referral sources and key stakeholders, and developing strategic planning for facility and patient population needs. This position reports to the Director and Assistant Director of Clinical Services and requires adaptability and collaboration to meet evolving facility and population needs. Candidates should effectively engage with all levels of stakeholders, including the CEO, CNO, various departments, patients, and their families.
Requirements
- LCSW or LPC required
- Master's degree in Social Work required
- Joint Commission, OMHSAS, DDAP experience required
- 5 years prior experience in a clinical management or supervisory role required
- Experience working within an inpatient behavioral health setting
- Experience working with a variety of adult populations
- Strong oral and written skills
- Strong teamwork skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Strategic and empathetic decision-making skills
Nice To Haves
- Change Management experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage the Clinical operations and oversight of inpatient units for adult populations
- Provide supervision, training and guidance to Social Services employees
- Coordinate, plan and implement social services processes and procedures across units
- Manage social services coverage for units
- Successful cross-functional collaboration between Nursing, Therapy/Counseling and other departments to ensure a positive patient experience
